Cellphones will soon be prohibited throughout the school day at all Pittsburgh Public Schools.
The Pittsburgh Board of Public Education approved of the district wide ban on Wednesday night, prohibiting the use of electronic devices by students during the school day while on district property. That includes in the classroom and on district school buses.
The board noted that the updated policy will include certain board-approved exceptions and guidelines.
