PennDOT has announced the District 10 regional winner of its annual Paint the Plow contest.
Keystone High School in Clarion County earned this year’s “Fan Favorite” award, as decided by online voting. Students painted a snowplow blade with artwork reflecting PennDOT’s winter driving message: “Don’t race. Allow some space.” Keystone High School received 441 votes, the most in the district. Paint the Plow is a statewide initiative that promotes safe winter driving while showcasing student creativity. Throughout the winter season, the painted plow blades are placed into service on state-owned roads.
Statewide, more than 78 schools took part this year, with over 22,000 votes cast in the online competition. Locally, this includes Indiana, River Valley, and Penns Manor schools. Photos of all the plows can be found on PennDOT’s Paint the Plow website.
