Aaron Rodgers says he still has pain in his fractured wrist, but the Steelers quarterback hopes to be able to play soon without a brace or extra padding. He practiced without any extra protection yesterday, but it was just a walk-through session.
With a game coming up on Sunday against All-Pro defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and the Detroit Lions, Rodgers says the games have added pressure in December because of the approach of the playoffs.
Still, he says it’s important to maintain the same approach.
Rodgers says the Lions’ Hutchinson challenges offensive lines.
Young tackle Dylan Cook had his first start ever in the win over Miami on Monday night and he earned the third-highest grade of any offensive lineman in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. This week, he faces Hutchinson. Rodgers says Cook can handle it.
TJ Watt was among those missing practice yesterday and there is no update on his condition after having surgery for a partially-collapsed lung last week. Nick Herbig, James Pierre, and Isaac Seumalo also sat out with injuries. Defensive lineman Derrick Harmon practiced fully and offensive tackle Andrus Peat did, too, although he is still designated to the concussion list.
The Rams and Seahawks meet tonight in Seattle to kick off Week 16 of the NFL season.
