At their meeting last night, the Blairsville Borough Council approved the budget for 2026.
The budget is balanced, with both expenditures and revenues sitting just above 2.5 million dollars, a 3% increase from last year. It also includes no tax increases.
Borough Manager Jody Poorbaugh said that their aren’t any major projects coming up, so most of the budget will go towards general funding.
The borough also approved applying for a tax anticipation loan in the amount of $190,000. Poorbaugh explained what that money would be used for.
