State police have charged a man who really wanted some ice cream, so he tried to steal it. The call was reported on April 6th at 4:24 PM after 27-year-old Dylan Rider of Homer City entered the Dairy Queen in Blairsville. He went to the ice cream coolers near the register, and allegedly took three ice cream cups out of the freezer and stuffed them in his coat. Ryder then grabbed the food he legitimately ordered then left before the ice cream could melt. Dairy Queen said that his activities were caught by store security cameras. Charges were filed through district court.
