Former Steeler Ryan Shazier last Thursday paid a visit to the hospital that initially treated him after he was injured eight years ago during the Steelers/Bengals game. That injury would leave him seemingly unable to move his legs. He was later diagnosed with a spinal contusion and had to undergo spinal stabilization surgery.
During his visit, Shazier reunited with members of the multi-disciplinary care team who treated him at the University of Cincinatti Medical Center and visited with current spinal cord injury patients to offer his support, insight and encouragement for their rehabilitation.
