A First Commonwealth Bank employee has been named Pennsylvania’s Payroll Person of the Year.
Tammie Downey, the bank’s Assistant Payroll Manager, received the 2025 statewide honor at PayrollOrg’s annual conference. The award recognizes excellence in payroll work, professional involvement, and service to colleagues.
Downey has been with First Commonwealth since 1999. She’s an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of Payroll Professionals and currently serves as its vice president. She also earned her Certified Payroll Professional certification in 2007.
Downey says she’s proud to receive the honor and credits her team and the bank for providing opportunities and support throughout her career.
