Indiana County’s new Municipal Emergency Services Authority will hold a special public hearing on Thursday, with discussion on the specific details of the agency’s operation model and the mandatory fees that will be collected from residents of the 31 county municipalities that have signed on. Seven municipalities opted not to enlist in the authority, the largest of which is White Township.
The ICMESA will be the first county-wide authority of its kind in Pennsylvania and could begin operations as soon as early next year.
The authority is divided into eight districts, generally determined geographically (see below).
The hearing on Thursday is at 7 PM at the Homer-Center High School auditorium.
