An Indiana School District student is returning to the Pittsburgh Public Theater and to a role in a beloved holiday story.
Once again, the Pittsburgh Public Theater is presenting “A Christmas Story: The Play” and Indiana Junior High Student Avery Schneider is returning to the role of “Young Ralphie” who experiences the Christmas season in the 1940s and wishes for the trademark Red Ryder B.B. gun. Schneider said that this time around, he was able to dig a little deeper into the character.
Schneider first took to the stage in an Indiana Players production of The Jungle Book, and has also been a part of the group’s Shakespeare Team that competes at the O’Reily Theater where the Pittsburgh Public Theater calls home. He has also been in a few other productions in Pittsburgh, including Pippin and a CLO Academy production of “The Addams Family Musical”.
The show runs through December 21st.
