Preliminary hearings are also scheduled today for other high-profile cases, including a case of dangerous burining.
Authorities charged 37-year-old Steven Marsh in connection with an fire in the basement of a home in Ernest Borough on October 10th. He allegedly set fire to a couch in a woman’s basement, then put it out and fled the scene. He was apprehended by police later that day. He also reportedly sent threatening messages to the victim. Along with dangerous burning, he is charged with criminal mischief, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Also due today in court are two men from Shelocta who are charged in connection with an incident last month at the Essex House Apartments. Indiana Borough Police charged 50-year-old Andrew Dunkle and 47-year-old Matthew Strotman reportedly broke into the apartment complex on November 4th. The two were caught after a brief chase. Police found previously cut copper piping and cutting instruments and a gas generator. Both are charged with trespass and evading arrest on foot.
