Penn State fired head coach James Franklin on October 12th and as other major schools are already locking in their new coaches, the Nittany Lions are still searching for their man. Multiple reports suggest Penn State has targeted and had talks with Brigham Young coach Kalani Sitake, who is 83-44 in ten seasons at his alma mater and 22-3 in the last three years.
Sitake would not comment on the Penn State job yesterday, saying he and his 11th-ranked Cougars are entirely focused on the Big 12 championship game on Saturday against number 5 Texas Tech.
