The Penguins are coming off their worst performance of the year, a 7-2 loss to Toronto on Saturday night. They’re at Philadelphia tonight to play the Flyers.
Yesterday, the Pens assigned forwards Tristan Broz and Danton Heinen to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Broz only played one game for the Penguins after his recall last Monday. Heinen has played nine games since his recall on November 4th.
The moves could signal that wingers Noel Acciari and/or Justin Brazeau are ready to return from injured reserve, but it will probably still be several weeks before first-line winger Rickard Rakell is able to come back from his broken hand.
Penguins airtime tonight on 92.5 FM U92 is at 6 o’clock, with faceoff shortly after 7.
