School boards across the commonwealth will be meeting this week for reorganization. For some, it will be a brief meeting for just that purpose, while others will hold actual business meetings.
Indiana Area will hold its reorganization on Tuesday and follow that with a regular meeting. The agenda includes a number of items, including the retirement notices of two teachers at the end of the academic year, and some property improvements, such as additional lighting at the stadium, a hot water boiler at Ben Franklin Elementary, and additional door security at Eisenhower Elementary. The board will also vote on the renewal of its transfinder software for transportation routing.
Purchase Line’s board will reorganize on Tuesday, and then will hold a work session. Among the items up for consideration are a roof replacement that will cost more than $1.5 million, and a resolution pledging that the district will not increase taxes by more than the adjusted state index of 5.1 percent.
United’s board will reorganize and then hold a work session on Tuesday. They’ve not yet published an agenda. Marion Center also reorganizes on Tuesday.
Penns Manor and River Valley will reorganize on Wednesday, and Homer-Center on Thursday.
