Indiana County’s District Courts will see some preliminary hearings today, including one for a man charged with stalking and harassment.
Court documents show that 43-year-old Christopher Kalafus of Derry will go before district judge Robert Bell Sr. for the hearing on charges related to a case in Blairsville on October 9th. Blairsville Borough Police claimed he followed an un-named woman onto Grandview Avenue near Veterans Drive despite the victim filing a protection from abuse order. The woman pulled off the road and Kalafus stopped beside her. When he stopped, she took his picture and he fled.
He faces additional charges from an incident on October 4th when the same woman reported she found a tracking device on her vehicle that was traced back to him through his phone.
