A DuBois man is facing aggravated arson and related charges after police say he admitted to setting a fire in a garage while his brother and two dogs were inside the attached home.
Sandy Township police reported that firefighters arrived around 4:22 p.m. Sunday and encountered 29-year-old Kolton Angelo Kemmer, who allegedly confessed at the scene. According to court documents, Kemmer told police he poured gasoline on a box and ignited it after taking medication during a football game. His brother told officers he smelled smoke but was unable to reach the basement because of heavy smoke and later found Kemmer pacing outside.
Kemmer was arraigned and sent to Clearfield County Jail with bail set at $75,000.
