An Indiana man was sentenced in county court Friday in connection with an incident that happened earlier this year.
Court documents show that 45-year-old Martin Fike of Indiana was sentenced to a day less than two years to one count each of strangulation and simple assault. The charge of harassment was not prosecuted.
Officers were called out at 11:39 PM on January 4th to an incident in the 300 block of South 13th Street. Officers discovered that Fike was engaged in a physical altercation with an unnamed resident of the house that resulted in minor injuries. He was then housed in the Indiana County Jail on $5000 bail.
