With a roster that includes four returnees from last year’s team, seven transfers, and three true freshmen, coach Craig Carey’s IUP women’s basketball team takes the floor at the KCAC tonight for their home opener.
IUP started the season over the weekend with two dominating wins over Elizabeth City State and Virginia State. Ashland began with a win over Indianapolis and a loss to Wayne State. The Eagles started the season ranked sixth in the nation but dropped to sixteenth after their loss to Wayne State.
Ashland leads the all-time series 7-4 including last year’s game a 68-54 win over the Crimson Hawks.
Tipoff tonight is at 6 PM.
