A boy is ok after a black bear recently chased him into a Family Dollar store in Fayette County.
Eleven-year-old Cole Frazee says he spotted the animal when he walked out of the store in Markleysburg, and that’s when it followed him back inside. Cole tells KDKA-TV the bear headed toward the back of the building, giving him and the cashier a chance to run outside and lock themselves in the woman’s car. The bear eventually found his way out after about ten minutes.
Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission say black bears are out searching for food at this time of year, which can lead to unexpected encounters.
