A Rossiter man was ordered to serve over eight years in prison for throwing an explosive device at the home of his estranged wife in 2024.
First Assistant US Attorney Troy Rivetti announced that 51-year-old Roam L. Beer was sentenced on Tuesday for the verdict in the trial last August. Beer was charged with possession of a destructive device after authorities report that he threw an ignited homemade explosive device that was loaded with steel shot at the house. While she was in the room that had the wall where the device was thrown at, she was not injured in the incident.
On top of the jail time, Beer will also serve three years of supervised release.
