IUP men’s basketball gets rolling tonight at the Memorial Fieldhouse in the Hilton Garden Inn Tip-Off Classic. IUP will play Concord tonight and Lincoln tomorrow, both at 7:30 PM. UPJ will play Lincoln tonight in the opener at 5:15 and will face Concord tomorrow.
Starting his twentieth season at IUP, coach Joe Lombardi returns four players who averaged in double digits last season, along with senior Dallis Dillard, who is back after missing almost two full seasons with a knee injury. Leading scorer Christian Moore averaged 16.8 points per game last year and Kymani Merraro averaged 15.1 points per game and was named PSAC West Freshman of the year. Dillard scored 15.8 points per game in ten games of the ’23-’24 season before he was injured.

The IUP women start their season tomorrow in Petersburg, Virginia, where they will play Elizabeth City State tomorrow afternoon and the host school, Virginia State, on Sunday.
