The Steelers’ Broderick Jones returned to practice yesterday as a limited participant as he continues to deal with a groin injury that goes all the way back to training camp. He will be ready to play on Sunday against the Bengals.
Linebacker Alex Highsmith missed practice for the second straight day. He has a pectoral muscle injury and is unsure whether he can play, although he says he’s optimistic. Fellow linebacker Cole Holcomb returned after missing the last two games due to illness and cornerback Darius Slay remained out with a concussion.
The Bengals torched the Steelers’ defense both on the ground and through the air when the two teams met October 16th in Cincinnati. Defensive captain Cam Heyward says he and his teammates need to know that each guy is playing his assignment on every play.
Heyward says it’s another AFC North game and the Steelers will have to pay attention to details to win on Sunday.
Kickoff on Sunday is at one o’clock.
