Governor Josh Shapiro is scoring a win after suing the Trump Administration for its reversal of SNAP benefits.
Shapiro plus two other governors and 23 state attorneys general challenged the USDA’s demand over the weekend that states “undo” their issuance of full SNAP benefits. The coalition asked a Massachusetts Court for a temporary restraining order Monday and got it, blocking the feds from clawing back the money after Pennsylvania and the other states began issuing full payments.
Last week, Shapiro called the Trump Administration’s attempts to stop the distribution of SNAP benefits “cruel and cold-hearted.”
