Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin continued to heap praise on his defensive unit during his weekly news conference on Tuesday. After two weeks where they looked bad and sluggish, they came alive with five turnovers, with some leading to points on ensuing possessions. But Tomlin said the big defensive key was to stop Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who racked up only 45 yards on the ground.
Tomlin was also impressed with the work of Kyle Dugger as he came in at safety just days after he was acquired from New England. Tomlin says he can’t wait to get a full week with him at practice.
Jalen Ramsey is also in line to make his second consecutive start at safety when the Steelers play the LA Chargers on Sunday.
