State police are still seeking information on a man found dead near New Alexandria over the weekend.
At a news conference yesterday, State Police Trooper Steven Limani said investigators still consider the death of 64-year-old Robert Lee Friend suspicious. The transient was found dead on state game lands near the Mannitto Golf Course in Loyalhanna Township. A hunter reported finding Friend Saturday about 25 feet from a parking area off Bush Road. Limani said he was hopeful the public could help police out.
Limani said that investigators believe Friend may have died elsewhere and then placed where he was eventually found.
A $2000 reward is being offered for information on the case. Anyone with information on Friend’s whereabouts before he was killed is asked to call police at 724-697-5780 or calling the state police tip line at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.
