Elizabeth “Betty” Rostis, age 88 of Homer City, PA died Tuesday, September 5, 2016 at the Oak Brook Heatlhcare Facility in Tyler, TX.
She was born August 5, 1929 in Indiana, PA to Wilbur and Martha Kunkle.
Mrs. Rostis was a member of the Holy Protection of Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Homer City.
She was retired from Brody’s Department Store in Indiana where she was employed for 25 years.
Betty is survived by one daughter and two sons, Marilyn Walker, Newport News, VA; Dennis Rostis and wife Vicki, Jeanette, PA; Michael Rostis and wife Marcia, Tyler, TX; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dick Kunkle, her granddaughter Nicole Rostis; her husband Paul Rostis in 2008, her great granddaughter Aubrey Colwell.
A Panachida will be held Monday 10 AM at Greenwood Chapel, Indiana with Rev. Father Jerome Botsko, officiating. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Blind Association, 911 South Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.

Pennsylvania is one of fifteen states that does not require any form of identification in order to vote. Meanwhile, eight states require photo ID in order to vote with no exceptions. What should Pennsylvania do?
