The Penguins rose to the occasion last night, taking down the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions Panthers in Florida. Paul Steigerwald has the story.
Coach Dan Muse says the Pens are getting goals and scoring chances from all four lines.
Muse says Tristan Jarry was fantastic in goal, turning aside a load of prime scoring opportunities for Florida.
The coach appreciates winning, but continues to emphasize that it’s early in the season and they have to get better every day.
Penguins defenseman Caleb Jones left the ice at the 13:12 mark of the third period. Muse said he was being evaluated for an undisclosed injury.
