The 8th annual Indiana County Sustainability Summit will be held October 24th at the KCAC.
The summit is scheduled from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and will focus on advancing community development through sustainable and local solutions. It will bring together regional leaders, innovators and community leaders to explore such strategies. Panel discussions will include:
- Modern Approaches to Environmental Stewardship in Indiana County – Stormwater Management and Streambank Restoration
- Solar solutions
- Outdoor recreation and community revitalization
- Sustainable food programs and local community gardens
- Indiana County visioning with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History
The keynote speaker will be Drew Pack, a senior policy analyst at the University of Pittsburgh Institute of Politics.
