A man from Pittsburgh has been charged after allegedly biting a police officer outside a North Shore bar over the weekend.
Authorities responded to Tequila Cowboy around 1:30 a.m. Sunday following reports that an intoxicated patron, later identified as 39-year-old Almir Lopes De Barros, was refusing to leave. Police say Barros bit an officer on the calf while being detained, causing a bleeding injury.
He was eventually handcuffed and taken to the Allegheny County Jail, facing charges including aggravated assault on a police officer.
