Blairsville Borough Police have charged a Derry man for violating a protection from abuse order for an incident yesterday afternoon.
Police said 43-year-old Christopher Kalafus was accused of following an un-named woman onto Grandview Avenue near Veterans Drive despite her filing the PFA. The woman pulled off the road and Kalafus stopped beside her. She took a picture of him and he fled.
He faces additional charges from an incident on October 4th when the same woman reported that she found a tracking device on her vehicle. Police were able to trace the device to Kalafus’ phone.
Charges of stalking and harassment were filed with District Judge Robert Bell Sr.’s office.
