Jurors in Westmoreland County are hearing testimony in the trial of a suspended Pennsylvania State Police trooper accused of assaulting his girlfriend.
According to Sarah Hellmann, Nicholas Hood allegedly grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground outside their Derry Township home in 2023. Hood faces charges of simple assault and harassment, but he denies Hellmann’s allegations.
