Tristan Broz, Matt Dumba, Avery Hayes, Ville Koivunen, and Filip Hallander scored the Pens’ goals. Arturs Silovs stopped 28 of 31 shots on goal in a complete game performance.
Coach Dan Muse says the Penguins weren’t as sharp as he would have liked, but he liked their resiliency.
Muse switched up his defensive pairings last night, having his blue-liners all playing their off sides. He says he wanted to see them working in their less natural position.
The preseason concludes with a home game against the Sabres tomorrow, with the Penguins’ top players expected to see their second game action. The season opens next Thursday against the Islanders at PPG Paints Arena.
