Unless you’re a runner or you love traffic jams and detours, you might want to avoid Pittsburgh this weekend.
More than 10,000 visitors from across the U.S. are expected in Pittsburgh for the Richard S. Caliguiri Great Race.
The event was first established as a 10k in 1977 by Caliguiri, the city’s late former mayor. Since then, it has expanded with a variety of other activities including a two-day expo, running clinic, and children’s race.
Drivers should expect road closures for the 5K and 10K races on Sunday.
