A 31 year-old California man, Jonathan Joseph Mota Mendoza, of Bakersfield, was released on $50,000 monetary bail yesterday, after being arrested on September 18, in Brookville.
According to ExploreJeffersonPa.Com, he faces several felony charges, including statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. The arrest followed an investigation prompted by the citizen group “814 Pred Hunters,” which used a decoy posing as a 15-year-old girl to arrange a meeting with Mendoza at a gas station.
Mendoza was identified and arrested by the Brookville Police Department and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on October 9, 2025.
