In Westmoreland County, the Southmoreland School District is taking steps to censure a board member.
The action follows School Director Catherine Fike’s disclosure of confidential information about a student during a meeting earlier this year, which was done without authorization.
The student in question is the child of the board’s vice president, and Fike has acknowledged that her actions were deliberate and intended to cast another board member in a negative light.
