Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro urged Americans to “unequivocally denounce” political violence following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He delivered the message during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.
Shapiro himself has been a victim in the recent wave of political violence, after he and his family were targeted in an arson attack earlier this year. Authorities believe the suspect singled out the governor because of his Jewish faith, allegedly claiming that Shapiro had plans concerning the Palestinian people.
