Robert E. Gulakowski, 78, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley, only several hours after admittance.
He was born in Fulton Run on Nov. 1, 1938, and was the son of the late Chester V. and Mary Iwanick Gulakowski.
Robert graduated from Indiana High School and worked for RobertShaw-Fulton Controls. He attended computer programming school in Pittsburgh and then moved with his family to Camp Hill to work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a computer programmer and later as an assistant bureau director. He retired in 1986 and moved to Arizona due to his severe rheumatoid arthritis. He enjoyed the warm weather and short traveling trips.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Goss Gulakowski; sons: Robert V., of Las Vegas, NV; Timothy S., of Harrisburg; and David E. and wife Adrienne, of Crystal Lake, IL; daughter, Tracey A. Williamson and husband James, of La Canada, CA; and grandchildren: Jonathan and Roman Gulakowski and Isabella, Sofia and Luca Williamson. He is also survived by brothers: John Kush, of Carson City, NV; Chester Gulakowski, of Pittsburgh; sister, Judy Campbell, of Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Amelia Williams and Evelyn Kush London.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., with Pastor John Stockton officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery Mausoleum.
