Flags across Pennsylvania are being lowered to half-staff in honor of three police officers who were killed during a shooting on Wednesday. According to York County officials, the officers had been attempting to serve a warrant when gunfire erupted. Initial reports suggested the gunman died from a self-inflicted wound, but authorities later confirmed he was shot and killed by police. The FBI is now assisting in the ongoing investigation.
In a separate incident elsewhere in Pennsylvania, a man is in custody after what officials described as “an act of terror against the FBI.” Investigators say Donald Henson drove a vehicle into the security gate at the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office Wednesday morning. He then allegedly threw an American flag over the gate before trying to escape. No injuries were reported.
