It was somewhat quiet for Indiana County First Responders as there were only three incidents reported by Indiana County 911 on Friday.
The first was at 6:42 AM, as a vehicle accident was reported on Route 5653 in Cherryhill Township. Cherryhill fire department and State Police were dispatched at the time. State police have not yet released a report on that incident.
First responders in Blairsville were called out at 1:40 PM for a vehicle accident on Route 22 west in Blairsville Borough. Along with the Blairsville fire and police departments, Black Lick fire department and Citizen’s Ambulance were dispatched as well. Blairsville police say that Lloyd Campbell Jr. pulled out in his truck from Dixon Street to Route 22 South and into the path of a car driven by Stephanie Shaner of Creekside. The collision sent Campbell’s truck back into Dean’s Diner Parking lot. Campbell had to be extricated and was taken to IRMC for treatment. Shaner had minor injuries but refused treatment.
And it’s been a busy night for Creekside and Plumville fire departments as they were dispatched into Plumcreek Township in Armstrong County at 9:58 PM to assist crews in Armstrong County with a fire. Initial reports show that a barn was on fire at 157 Milby Road. No word yet if any animals were injured in that fire.
