John O. Orr, 88, of Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A son of the late John H. and Marie Learn Orr, he was born Aug. 2, 1928 in Indiana.
Mr. Orr lived his entire life in Indiana, where he drove truck for Sealtest Dairy and Sani Dairy and later he did maintenance and deliveries for S&T Bank. Mr. Orr enjoyed working around the house and working in his flower garden.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, LaRue A. Henry Orr, of Indiana; a daughter, Carol A. Shirley and husband Don, of Blairsville; two grandsons: Michael D. Shirley and wife Amanda and their children, Makayla and Mason; Steven M. Shirley and wife Megan and their daughter, Avery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David L. Orr; and two sisters, Lois Calhoun and Mildred Kensek.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Denny Marshall officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
