The Indiana County Court schedule tomorrow includes a pretrial conference for Joshua Brink, the Smicksburg-area man accused of homicide by vehicle in the 2021 death of 52-year-old Douglas Dalessio. He was killed when Brink’s vehicle left Barnard Road in West Mahoning Township, striking Dalessio as he mowed grass on a lawn tractor. The 36-year-old Brink faces three additional felony charges and five misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. There are also five summary traffic offenses.
There have been numerous pretrial motions filed, causing a delay in jury selection three times, most recently last month. On Thursday, District Attorney Bob Manzi filed a motion to compel the defense to produce a memo in support of its latest motion.
Monday’s committee is scheduled for 8:30 before President Judge Thomas Bianco.
