IUP announced a contribution as part of the Impact 150 campaign that will go towards the university’s Crimson Scholars Circle and Promising Scholars Program.
The donation comes from Tim and Debra Phillips Cejka, 1973 graduates of IUP and is part of their ongoing support of the university. The Crimson Scholars Circle was launched in the fall of 2021 and is a specialized cohort program aimed at providing students with comprehensive financial, social, and academic support to thrive at IUP. Selected students are granted a renewable $1,000 scholarship, with the possibility of increasing the award based on their academic performance at IUP. The Promising Scholars program is a competitive scholarship to support the success of minority high school students and first-generation college students. Scholarships range up to $3,000 and are renewable for up to four years.
The gift is part of the Impact 150 campaign, which has an overall goal to raise $150 million for the school, and was launched last week. So far, over $81 million has been raised.
