A Hempfield man has been convicted of assaulting emergency medical personnel who were attempting to take him to the hospital.
Thirty-three-year-old Anthony Flowers was found guilty on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
According to prosecutors, last October Flowers spat on EMTs and damaged the interior of an ambulance while they were trying to assist him. Authorities also report that he threw a fire extinguisher, which shattered the rear window of a neighbor’s parked SUV.
The judge has ordered Flowers to undergo a psychological evaluation, with a sentencing hearing scheduled in the coming months.
