IUP had never lost to Ashland before last night, but the Eagles turned the tables on the Crimson Hawks in the second half and earned their first win of the series, and of the season. Jack Benedict has the recap.
IUP coach Paul Tortorella says Ashland made just enough plays to win.
Tortorella put the game in context, saying it was a non-conference loss and he expects IUP to play much better, and maybe even get another shot at the Eagles in the postseason.
IUP returns to action next Saturday with a home game against Lock Haven.
Go in depth with the game story and more from Matt Burglund at IUP Football Central, presented by The Co-Op Store, at the home of the Crimson Hawks, 92.5 FM U92.
