The Center Township Supervisors will meet tonight and the topic of the Evergreen Landfill is on the agenda.
Supervisors are continuing to encourage residents to pick up a 2025 Evergreen Landfill coupon that will allow residents to bring one load to the landfill at about one-third the normal cost. However, with Waste Management closing and sealing off the landfill by the end of the year, people could be shut out before they are able to use it. Supervisors are calling this the last opportunity to use this long-time offer.
Also on the agenda tonight is a resolution to change the name of an alley in Yankeetown to Don Luscia Alley.
The meeting starts at 6:30 at the Township building.
