March definitely went out like a lion, as strong storms rolled through the area on Thursday and left some areas of Armstrong County damaged.
Reports say that the fast moving storm front produced some strong storms that triggered tornado warnings for parts of Armstrong, Indiana and Jefferson County between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. The storm produced by that front damaged homes and property along State Route 1018 in Wayne Township. Witnesses said that a barn was destroyed by the storm, and multiple trees landed on a house.
Officials from the National Weather Service will be on the scene today to investigate and determine if the storm produced a tornado.
