A box truck overturned on Route 22 in Burrell Township Tuesday afternoon.
Indiana County 911 reported that Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were called out at 3:06 PM for a vehicle accident reported on Perfetti Lane in Burrell Township. Black Lick fire crews say that the crash happened on Route 22 West near Snyder Lane. The HAZMAT team was dispatched a few minutes later after fire crews discovered a leak in the diesel fuel tank heading towards a storm drain. First responders were able to establish a small dam and a hazmat pool under the gas tank, and the HAZMAT team was cancelled en route. Officials also reported that two people were in the box truck at the time, but they were able to get out of the truck and were not injured.
Crews were on the scene until the box truck could be up-righted and removed from the scene.
