State police have charged a Blairsville man with sexually assaulting a sleeping woman earlier this year.
Troopers say that 58-year-old Joseph Zemba sexually assaulted a woman in May. The two were socializing at an apartment in Burrell Township when the victim passed out. When she came to, she discovered that she was in a state of undress. The victim then heard a rumor that Zemba was sharing an indecent photo of her from the day in question. Police searched her Google Nest account and discovered a video of him removing her clothes and having sexual relations.
Zemba has since admitted to performing the sexual acts but claimed he did not know the victim was unconscious. He is free on $20,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is set for September 3rd.
