UNEMPLOYMENT FILINGS RISE ACROSS THE NATION, INCLUDING PENNSYLVANIA

There were more unemployment claims across the country last week, including in Pennsylvania.  The U.S. Department of Labor says initial unemployment claims in the Keystone State went up by 375.  It’s the second time claims have increased in the Commonwealth in the past seven weeks.  The Department also reported an additional 38,000 continuous unemployment claims nationwide, bringing the total up to the highest number since 2021.
