The Pirates have now won seven of their last 10, including last night’s walk-off winner over the San Francisco Giants. Joe Block reports.
Pirates manager Don Kelly called it a great win for the Bucs.
Kelly added that that starting pitcher Johan Oviedo may have been too amped up for his appearance Monday night, and that may have lead him to not being as sharp as he normally is.
Oviedo said that the problems were more physical than mental.
The three game series continues tonight. Mike Burrows will start for the Bucs (1-3, 3.88 ERA), while San Fran will send Logan Webb (9-8, 3.31 ERA). Airtime 6:15 on WCCS. First pitch 6:40
