INDIANA 14U SOFTBALL TAKES 3RD PLACE IN WORLD SERIES

The Indiana 14U softball team returned home last night to a hero’s welcome through town after their third-place finish at the Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington.  The third-place award came after they beat the Philippines 12-1 Saturday afternoon in a five-inning mercy-rule shortened game.  Ella Worthington had a one-hit shutout, striking out eight and walking two.  Indiana racked up one run in the first and third, three runs in the second, then seven in the bottom of the 4^th.
